Annual Report 2024/25
Our 2024–25 Annual Report highlights a year of measured gains across ecological restoration, cultural engagement and community involvement. Mahika kai remains central to our kaupapa — sustained by pest control, native planting, wetland creation and wānaka that build connection ki uta ki tai.
The year’s highlights include:
Establishment of a kahikatea wetland forest at the base of Ō Tukaramea.
Development of Jericho Stream wetland ponds — designed to support native biodiversity and future mahika kai species like wai kōura.
Engagement with schools and community through Planting Trees with Kids and other collaborative planting projects.
Cultural wānaka including Taiao and Matariki weaving wānaka.
Continued predator and pest control across our sites.Progress on our Cultural Values Enhancement Project at Te Kōawa Tūroa o Takitimu.
